Shift Engineer

SHIFT ENGINEER – ESSEX – DOUBLE DAYS AND PERMANENT NIGHTS

A pharmaceutical manufacturing organization based in Essex are looking for electrically biased Multi Skilled Engineers to join their engineering team on a permanent basis, they are offering a Mon-Fri double days role (6-2pm / 2-10pm) as well as a Mon-Fri permanent nights role (10pm-6am).

Reporting to the Senior Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to the engineering team, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance tasks across the organisation’s production equipment which will include filling machines, cartoners, labellers and packaging lines. You will be an active member of the team identifying equipment breakdown issues using root cause analysis techniques, investigating and implementing improvements to prevent reoccurrence.

You will ensure all activities within the engineering department are carried out in compliance with established standards and regulations and in accordance to the company’s SOP (standard operating procedures). You will make sure any incidents / deviations are alerted to line management in a timely manner and that all risk assessments are completed and regularly reviewed.

Suitable candidates will have a strong background working in maintenance engineering as Multi Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias with the 18th edition wiring regulations qualification. You will be educated to an Engineering NVQ level or equivalent and experienced working within a GMP manufacturing environment such as pharmaceutical, biotechnology, FMCG etc.
