Blackfield Associates are currently assisting a global pharmaceutical organisation in the search for multiple Senior Contract Managers for a large CAPEX investment, this will be a long term contract position.
Responsibilities
Position Overview:
The Senior Contract Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution, reporting, and follow-up of all signed contracts within the organization. This role ensures that all contracts are managed efficiently, and that any changes or amendments are processed correctly through established workflows. The Senior Contract Manager plays a critical role in mitigating risks and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Execution and Management:
- Ensure the proper execution of all signed contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed terms and conditions.
- Monitor contract performance and ensure all parties fulfill their contractual obligations.
- Contract Reporting and Documentation:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting systems to track contract status, key milestones, and compliance metrics.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management on contract performance, risks, and issues.
- Change Order Management:
- Manage the workflow for contract change orders, ensuring that all modifications are properly documented, approved, and communicated.
- Ensure that change orders are processed in accordance with company policies and contractual agreements.
- Follow-up and Compliance:
- Conduct regular follow-ups on contract execution and identify any issues that need to be addressed.
- Ensure that all contractual requirements, including deliverables, timelines, and payments, are met.
- Address and resolve any disputes or issues arising from contract execution.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with contract execution and changes.
- Ensure that all contracts are in compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously review and improve contract management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement best practices and standards for contract management within the organization.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in contract management, with a proven track record in managing complex contracts and change orders.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Contract Management, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPCM, CCM) is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of contract law and legal requirements.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
