Blackfield Associates are currently supporting a leader in science based natural solutions, to recruit for a Quality Assurance Officer to join the organisation on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities
Job Summary
Reporting to the QA Manager, the Quality Assurance Officer will help to maintain the Quality Management Systems (QMS). Responsibilities include conducting batch releases, investigating deviations, managing change controls, performing root cause analysis, and handling other quality documents in accordance with EU GMP, BRC Food Safety Standard, and other applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure products and documentation are fit for purpose before release.
- Progress deviations, CAPA, and change controls timely and compliantly.
- Support QMS maintenance and KPI reporting.
- Investigate and address customer or supplier complaints.
- Handle customer requests and queries promptly.
- Participate in and host audits.
- Author, review, and approve Controlled Documents and QMS items.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis using tools like Fishbone and 5 Whys.
- Coordinate QA workload for accurate manufacturing, testing, and product release.
- Monitor and escalate Quality performance indicators.
- Deliver Quality training site-wide.
- Support regulatory and customer audits, and train QA staff.
- Provide Quality guidance in manufacturing and testing.
- Support supplier qualification and review Technical Agreements.
- Maintain Validation activities and HACCP requirements.
- Contribute to Quality improvement projects.
- Undertake additional Quality-related activities as needed.

- Experience working within Quality Assurance and to GMP (preferably with APIs)
- Work to high standards with minimal supervision.

- Maintain flexibility with changing priorities.
- Resolve issues by identifying appropriate skills and people.
