Piping Discipline Manager

Piping Manager – Dublin – Negotiable Salary or Hourly rate (Permanent and Contract Candidates Considered)

Working in partnership with a market leading EPCM, Blackfield Associates are in the market for a Piping Discipline Manager to provide high level specialist management expertise within the company’s Dublin based operation.

Working within a complex engineering environment, the successful Piping Discipline Manager will be responsible for planning and coordinating resources for all aspects of design activities including CAD & BIM functions relating to piping on projects of varying size and scope. The role will incorporate management of multi-disciplinary teams, and provide support to pharmaceutical engineering projects being executed globally.
Other responsibilities include the implementation of design safety procedures and guidelines, ensuring all relevant health and safety regulations are incorporated into design packages; preparation of hours to support proposals and aligning deliverables, tasks and budgets with Project Managers, ensuring these are met; creating and implementing standard operating procedures, work instructions, and guidelines ensuring company quality standards are met.

In order to be considered for this role, candidates must have proven experience managing multi-disciplined teams, and design functions within complex industrial / pharmaceutical / semi-conductor piping systems. A knowledge of piping CAD packages such as Cadworx / Plant 3D / Revit / AutoCAD etc. would be advantageous, as would experience with Navisworks or BIM360 on large projects.

This role offers a hybrid model of 3 days in the office, 2 remote and is based in Dublin.
