In partnership with an industry leader within the Data Center market, Blackfield Associates are seeking to recruit an Mechanical Supervisor to join a high performance, and dedicated team on a hyperscale Data Center project in Sandviken, Sweden on a permanent basis.
Our client delivers turnkey projects across Europe, specialising in the design, construction, and commissioning of data centers, offering a full range of services from CSA to MEP.
Responsibilities
- Review design specifications, drawings, and project sequences to plan and execute works within the project scope.
- Attend internal planning and reporting meetings, providing updates on project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Develop and manage a detailed schedule for the mechanical package in coordination with the project controls team.
- Collaborate with the in-house BIM team to develop coordinated BIM drawings and ensure vendors’ equipment meets construction requirements.
- Oversee sub-contractor works, ensuring proper supervision and compliance with labour requirements.
- Approve RAMS and SPA for sub-contractors prior to the commencement of site installation work.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards and maintain quality control on site.
- Manage material deliveries in line with the project schedule and conduct equipment delivery and installation inspections.
- Lead inspections and quality processes to ensure early identification of issues and prompt resolution.
- Provide daily and weekly reporting, including project updates, lookaheads, and daily diaries.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a mechanical construction supervisory role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain positive relationships with contractors and stakeholders on-site.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, particularly in a data centre environment.
