Mechanical Engineering Technician – Northamptonshire

Blackfield Associates are partnered with a COMAH regulated manufacturing site based in Northamptonshire who are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technician to join the team on a permanent basis working double days.

The Primary function of this role will be to carry out plant maintenance, installation and modifications while taking into consideration potentially hazardous working conditions associated with a process chemical environment.

Other Responsibilities:

* Supervisor will delegate tasks to technicians who will work on a variety of mechanical equipment
* Work predominantly on pumps, pipework, new installs, PPM, condition monitoring and welding repairs
* Monitor and maintain all site services
* Implement plant modifications to accommodate changes in processing procedures and new technology/techniques

The successful Technician will be apprentice trained or educated up to NVQ level 3 in an engineering discipline. COMAH experience is highly advantageous.

Based in Northamptonshire and within a close commute of Northampton, Wellingborough, Bedford, Kettering, Milton Keynes, Corby and Towcester.
