In partnership with an industry leader within the Data Center market, Blackfield Associates are seeking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer to join a high performance, and dedicated team on a hyperscale Data Center project in Sandviken, Sweden on a permanent basis.
Our client delivers turnkey projects across Europe, specialising in the design, construction, and commissioning of data centers, offering a full range of services from CSA to MEP.
Responsibilities
- Support the mechanical delivery of the project in collaboration with the Mechanical Supervisor and the wider team.
- Manage client communications and coordinate with contractors to ensure seamless integration of services.
- Prepare method statements and risk assessments for construction activities.
- Ensure all mechanical system deliverables meet project requirements and safety standards.
- Communicate with the project team to sequence pipework installations according to schedule.
- Manage the commercial aspects of the project, from handover to technical procurement of equipment and sub-contractors.
- Assist in documenting and costing work scope changes, and prepare monthly valuations and final accounts.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a mechanical engineering role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, particularly in a data centre environment.
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with contractors on-site.
EU Passport / Eligibility to live in Sweden and a good grasp of the English language are essential
