Location: Oxford, UK
Contract: Full-time, 24-month term contract with the option to become permanent
Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Lead CAPEX Project Manager to oversee a site expansion project valued at approximately £30m in Oxford. This project involves increasing the sites manufacturing capabilities through the new build. The project will involve installation and integration of new biotech manufacturing suites with biologics equipment, cleanrooms, utilities and packaging, It is advantageous to have experience with modular builds. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the project from detailed design to completion, ensuring it is delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Define and execute the project scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
* Develop a detailed project plan and timeline, ensuring all activities are properly coordinated and resourced
* Manage the project budget and forecast expenditure, ensuring financial targets are met
* Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and internal teams
* Manage project risks, issues and dependencies, implementing appropriate mitigation strategies
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and procedures
* Manage and motivate a team of project professionals, ensuring they are aligned with project goals and objectives
* Monitor and report on project progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
* At least 10 years’ experience managing CAPEX projects in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, including experience with bioreactors and packaging manufacturing equipment
* Experience managing modular builds is highly advantageous
* Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships
* Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience managing teams of project professionals
