EHS Manager

EHS Manager – Permanent – Flintshire

A pharmaceutical manufacturing organization in Flintshire are looking for an EHS Manager to join their Site Leadership team to manage and provide expertise on environmental, health and safety compliance across site, contributing to the organisation’s global EHS strategy.

Reporting into the Site Head and working alongside the EHS Director, you will support the implementation of EHS strategies across the site in alignment with the organisation’s values and culture. You will ensure that legal compliance and company standards are adhered to with the use of training, guidance and correct following on policies and procedures.

You will be responsible for the continuous improvement and updates within the EHS Management System whilst developing and delivering EHS training programmes to management and employees. You will manage EHS permits and licenses, by promoting and driving the organisation’s aim of achieving full carbon neutrality by reducing the site environmental impact and improving the sustainability of processing.

The EHS Manager will be responsible for the development and refinement of the sites EHS plans which will include budgets, forecasting and continuous monitoring whilst actively gathering, reviewing and implementing best practice around global sites.

Suitable candidates will have a strong EHS background at a senior level ideally working within the pharmaceutical industry but could also come from other highly regulated manufacturing environments. You will be degree qualified in engineering, chemistry or a science discipline and will be NEBOSH qualified or equivalent.
