DOWNSTREAM PROCESS DEVELOPMENT SCIENTIST – BERKSHIRE – Competitive Salary

An exciting biotechnology organisation are currently recruiting for a Downstream Process Development Scientist to join their facility based in the Berkshire area on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Lead DSP Scientist, the core function of the role will be to perform a wide range of purification activities, including chromatography and tangential flow filtration to support the development and manufacture of anti-body based production processes. The activities will support various stages of process development, from early stage optimisation to later stage characterisation and outsourced GMP manufacture.

To be considered for the role candidates must have a BSc/MSc in a Biological or Bio-Engineering discipline with industry related experience in protein purification work. Excellent lab-based skills is essential and knowledge/experience of chromatography using AKTA systems and UNICORN software is highly desirable. Experience performing and sizing sterile, depth, tangential and virus filtration steps is preferable.
