Contract Process Engineer

Senior Process Engineer (Contract) – c£50ph outside – Initial 12 month contract length with view to extend.

In partnership with an international Engineering provider, Blackfield Associates are looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team with some time spent at company offices (either Manchester or Motherwell) and remote options available.

Working to deliver an exciting new major production facility on behalf of the end client based in Scotland, the successful Senior Process Engineer will be responsible for developing process engineering deliverables to support the detailed design phase of the project.
Other responsibilities include development of P&ID’s, conducting heat and mass balance calculations, producing process datasheets, specifications, and schedules for equipment and packages, completing pressure drop and pump sizing calculations and equipment sizing calculations and other activities related to ensuring a robust, cost effective production process.

In order to be considered for this opportunity, candidates must be a qualified chemical engineer with process engineering experience gained within a relevant regulated environment i.e. Comah / GMP / Food & Drink. Familiarity with P&ID’s, PFD’s, Pressure Drop / Pump Sizing / Equipment Sizing, conducting HAZOP studies, piping design studies, and plant layout development is also essential.
