We are seeking a skilled Commissioning Manager (MEP) to oversee the commissioning process for hyper-scale data center projects. You will ensure that all systems are installed, tested, and functioning according to industry standards and project requirements. This role is crucial to ensuring the facility meets the owner’s operational needs and delivers on project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Manage and drive the commissioning process, ensuring compliance with the established Commissioning Plan.
- Develop and implement commissioning procedures and standards.
- Oversee site inspections, QA/QC processes, and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and client representatives to ensure successful system testing and integration.
- Utilize an Automated Commissioning Management System (ACxMS) for tracking and documentation.
- Manage the Issue Resolution Log (IRL) and ensure timely resolution of defects and issues.
- Report regularly on commissioning progress, including scope, schedule, and budget.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in mission-critical facilities or data center infrastructure, with 6+ years in commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including UPS, generators, HVAC, and BMS.
- Proficient in MS Office, Visio, and Project.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Certification or training in NETA, ASHRAE, or related commissioning education.
