Blackfield are seeking an experienced Automation & Process Control Specialist to lead and support automation systems in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Contract Details:
- This is a W2 contract
- Candidates must have the right to work in the United States without restrictions and be willing to work onsite in North Carolina.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and improve process control systems.
- Lead automation projects and support corporate initiatives.
- Coordinate schedules with manufacturing operations.
- Develop budgets and maintain automation standards.
- Troubleshoot automation issues and serve as SME for audits.
- Coach and train colleagues on automation systems.
Requirements
Requirements:
- 5+ years in process-based manufacturing or packaging systems.
- Experience with pharmaceutical automation, SCADA (iFix, Ignition, FactoryTalk), PLC, HMI, and system programming.
- Knowledge of SAP EWM, MES (PAS-X), and IT systems preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience with warehouse automation (AGVs, ASRS, AMRs, conveyors).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 33 pounds, work 12-hour shifts, and operate machinery.
