I am supporting the search for a Large CDMO based in Switzerland, they are seeking skilled Automation Engineers with expertise in DeltaV design and configuration to join their site Automation team for a Greenfield Drug Product Fill Finish Facility in Switzerland. The project is scheduled for completion in Q4 2025
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and configuration of DeltaV systems for Black and Clean Utilities in a Lifesciences/Pharma/Biotech environment.
- Act as the key interface between Process Engineering (for the EPCM) and the Automation System Integrator, ensuring effective communication and collaboration between both parties.
- Translate Process Designs (e.g., P&IDs) into Process Descriptions, Process Narratives, and Functional Descriptions to guide the System Integrator in developing Automation Functional Specifications (FS).
- Design software objects within an S88 structure, ensuring they meet project requirements and standards.
- Support integrated DeltaV and equipment commissioning and qualification activities once the design phase is complete.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Automation design and commissioning, specifically within the Lifesciences/Pharma/Biotech industries.
- Proven expertise in DeltaV system design and configuration.
- Experience with Black and Clean Utilities such as WFI, Purified Water, Clean Steam, Chiller Controls, and Process Air Distribution.
- Strong ability to collaborate with process design teams and translate their designs into actionable automation specifications.
- In-depth understanding of S88 structures and software object design within DeltaV.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in working on large-scale Greenfield projects within the Lifesciences sector.
- Familiarity with the commissioning and qualification processes for automation systems in regulated environments.
