ANALYTICAL TEAM LEADER | LEICESTERSHIRE AREA | Competitive Salary
A leading pharmaceutical organisation are currently recruiting for an Analytical Team Leader to join their facility based in the Leicestershire area on a permanent basis due to consistent growth.
Reporting to the Group Leader, the core function of the role will be to provide technical and operational leadership, training and coaching to Technical Leaders, Senior Analysts, Analysts and Technicians. You will define the analytical strategy for new and ongoing projects, actively manage the performance of the team, manage the internal team resources/schedules and deputise for the Head of Department as required. Additionally, you will take the lead in technical assessment for quotations and support BD activities / visits, provide support and front client / regulatory cGMP audits.
To be considered for the role candidates will need to be Degree educated in Chemistry or a Life Science subject with experience of analysing and leading analytical development activities for Pharmaceutical drug products in a GMP environment. Significant experience is required in stability study design & testing, HPLC method development & validation and dissolution method development & validation. Previous experience of supervising and managing cGMP laboratory activities and staff is essential, along with a proven ability to successfully lead business improvement projects and experience preparing regulatory CMC dossier sections.
Any experience of implementing major laboratory change projects would be desirable, as would training to Six Sigma greenbelt or above. Previous experience of analytical development for sterile pharmaceuticals would also be advantageous.
