ANALYTICAL R&D TEAM LEADER – HERTFORDSHIRE – Competitive Salary

A pharmaceutical organisation are currently recruiting for an Analytical R&D Team Leader to join the team at their Hertfordshire facility on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the R&D Manager, the core function of this role will be to line manage the Analytical Development Team, handling goal setting, tracking of performance and end of year reviews. You will coordinate and oversee all analytical method development and validation activities within the R&D team. In addition, you will be involved in hands-on development and validation experimental work, developing analytical methods for raw materials, in-process controls and intermediate/final APIs.

To be considered for the role candidates must be educated to degree level in Analytical Chemistry or equivalent. It is essential for candidates to have strong knowledge of HPLC, GC, IR, UV and (HP)TLC techniques. Experience of method development and validation is required, along with some technology transfer experience. Knowledge of analytical methods used for herbal raw materials and APIs would be advantageous, along with knowledge of particle size analysis, dry powder method development and wet chemical techniques.
